I don't understand how this place got 4 stars. The bruschetta was drenched in oil, totally uneatable. I ordered pasta with garlic and oil and I'm convinced they used the entire bottle of olive oil. Waste of money I couldn't finish any of it.

Ordered spaghetti/meatballs & carbonara, it was terrible. Bland, unexciting, looked terrible. And they were so pricey! White castle or tgif would prob made it better.. Then you might figure how bad this place was. I would give it minus points if possible and it hurts that I can't get my money back. Never ever again, I rather stay hungry.

Best classic-style Italian in the east village! Really great staff too

Ordering delivery from a restaurant that is really more of an eat-in establishment is generally risky, not least because the dishes tend to be more complicated and therefore travel less well. Such was the case with my order of sweetbreads and mushrooms and chicken parmigiana. The sweetbreads were just ok but came across as soupy due to being packaged separate from the potatoes and so forth. The spaghetti that accompanied the chicken was awful, dry strings of stiff pasta that I threw out. The veal was fair. NOT recommended for take out, might be worth a try eating in.

Food here is pretty good, and the portions are huge. I think I'm at an advantage because I live in the building literally right next to it, so the food has never taken more than 15 mins to get here and is always fresh.

Delivery took twice as long as the smealess web estimate. When I called they continued to tell me the delivery person had "just left" and should be there in "15 minutes" - this went on for an hour. For $29 they delivered my two pounds of spaghetti with 1 tablespoon sauce. The sauce at Trader Joes for $1.99 is far superior to their sauce. The chicken was drowning in water (and was flavorless) and the minestrone soup was so gross I threw it away - oh, but thanks for giving me such an enormous portion of this awful soup and and absurd portion of inedible pasta. I'm giving the food one star because choosing zero stars is not an option. This place is such a rip off!

I got the chicken parmesan and they sent me a crazy amount of bread with it. Overall, the food is pretty good. It's not on par with the best Italian I've ever eaten, but it's good.
